Agenda Organization: Must Haves + Tips on how to accomplish more

If you know me, you probably already know that I am one of the biggest fans of agendas. (Last year, I counted that I had well over 6 planners for the 2014-2015 school year). The reason why I am obsessed with them is because I love how their main purpose is to help you be more productive and to accomplish more things (Which is a huge plus when preparing for my upcoming years)!

Usually by the third month into the school year I have already switched agenda's (because of how indecisive I am!) but this year I am pretty proud of how I have fallen in love with my Erin Condren Life Planner. I have been buying Erin Condren Life Planners for the past three years, and out of all of them, this one has been my favorite! For a while I was using my Lilly Pulitzer Jumbo Agenda, but Junior Year quickly caught up to me and I realized that there wasn't enough room in the book for me to be able to write!

Keep a Color Coding System

I am big time visual learner, which means that I love learning by seeing everything laid out and color coded. What I like to do and the beginning of every year is grab all of my pens and pencils and write out all of the classes I'm taking and extra curricular's I have and make a color coding reference post it note! I usually assign all of my classes at school a specific color and then I grab two colors I haven't used yet and put them as Extra Curricular's & Personal. This way I don't have too many colors everywhere! I also grab three hi-lighters and assign them to : Completed word (To cross off in my weekly assignments) , Assignments Due, and Test, Quizzes or Projects.

Have Post-It's near by!
Post-it's are such an amazing tool when it comes to organizing your agenda! I love to use them when I need little reminders about an upcoming event and such. But one of my all time favorite ways to use them is where I grab a small post it and I stick it at the top of one of the weekly pages. Then I title it "Test's next week!" . This helps me become more aware of what I have to look forward too ext week and what I need to start studying for in advance.

Figure out a system
With all of the different planners our there with different layouts, it's good to know what your looking for to help keep you on track. I would highly suggest researching what types of planners there are out there (Ex. Erin Condren, Filofax, Kate Spade, Lilly Pulitzer and Day Designer). Another way to help you plan out what type of system you need is by what you need during your day! Are you looking for a hour by hour type layout? Or are you looking for something to jot down a quick to-do list? Ask your self these questions and then start researching!

Review/Plan your week ahead of time!
This may sound stupid, but trust me this helps a lot! I don't know how many times I have had a test I wasn't prepared for just because I didn't plan my studying out. I have such a busy schedule that I have to take time out of each day leading up to the test for me to be able to retain the information. (This is also how I learn personally). But reviewing your week ahead of time is the perfect way to be on top of things! With having so many extra curricula's on my plate, reviewing and looking over what I have to accomplish for next week can be a big advantage!

Let me know in the comments bellow what type of planner you use and how you choose to organize it! I would love to read all about it!

Texas Love

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know already that I just came back from a 4-Day trip to Texas! I went there with my school to tour four colleges, Dallas Baptist University, Texas Christian University, Southern Methodist University and Baylor University. This was my personal first time visiting any out of state schools, but it really helped me realize what I was looking for in a school!

The first two schools that we toured on day one were Dallas Baptist University and Texas Christian University. Both had tremendous campuses and were amazing schools. I personally likes TCU over DBU due to the religion not being so demanding, but both schools are definitely ones I would consider when applying to.

On the second day we toured Southern Methodist University and Baylor University. Out of all four schools, I fell in love with SMU. The campus is B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L . Everyone there was super helpful when we were searching for buildings and when talking to each student about their experiences their!

In the end, Texas schools are definitely on my college application list! Hopefully they will see me back there soon but attending the schools! :)

Late Morning Go-To Outfit

With Junior being as hectic as it it, I would honestly would have to say that I have more mornings where I rush then I would love to. But lately I have been getting into a pretty good system of how to get ready and look "presentable" with-in 10 minutes. (Shocking right?!) My time gets cut down mostly because of my outfit. Overtime I end up having a morning where I rush, I go to my usual. jeans & a comfy tee-shirt. The long sleeve that I am wearing in this outfit is my absolute favorite because of how warm it is. (*Note: I walk to school around 6:30 am. Which is usually when it's around 60 degrees). If i'm not sporting this tee, you will usually find me in a school tee shirt or my Smart Girls Group Long Sleeve.

With my many different shirt choices, I will almost always go for my boot-cut Hollister jeans. I bought this pair two years ago, and I have been in love with them since! They are so easy to style and wear. Plus they fit my body shape perfectly which is a plus as always.

As for hair goes, I will almost always braid my front piece of hair back and add a clip. If I don't even have time for that, then it's monogrammed headband all the way!

Into My Week V.1

With having multiple test's in one day and balancing my re-launch of my blog, this week has actually been pretty fun! Mostly because I had a lot of fun events going through out this week from college visits to club rush to having my blog re-launched!

Friday Girls Nights

With the stressful days that I have with school, my best friends and I decided to make a one a month girls night were we go and do something fun! Whether it's trying a new restaurant or going to see a new movie, we just have a Friday night to our selves!

Re-Launch of my Blog

Ahh!! Such an exciting time! I had my re-launch of my new blog design along with my blog-anniversary this past Monday. I wrote a post about how I am so excited to be expanding as a writer and how I have been able to connect with so many great people!

New Planner (Not surprising!)

I know, I know, I have way to many planners. But I recently just bought the 2015-2016 Erin Condren Life Planner at my local Staples. I have been buying from Erin Condren since I was a Freshman and I have always loved her products! But for the past couple of months, I thought I would try a different planner for fun since I knew my schedule would be filled. That ended up not going so well, so this past Sunday I went out and bought my Life Planner. And let me just say, I have been in love with it! So many new great features then the past two versions. I most definitely will be doing a Agenda Organization post soon, so be sure to stick around for that!

What have you been up to this week?

Transitioning into Fall (California Style!)

Most of y'all know already, but living in California means there isn't a big season change. Currently we are in mid-October and I still have to break out my shorts and tank tops during the day. But as for the mornings and evenings, it can become pretty chilly. (Which I enjoy very much!) With that being said, I am super excited to start wearing more jeans and of course sweaters! But for us Californians we have to ease into that transition. Thus I have brought to your screen this adorable outfit consisting on a semi-tank top with a cardigan along with my favorite booties and jeans!

What are your go-to transition pieces for the season? I would love to know! :)

Each and every moment that I write on my blog I get pure joy out of reading the comments and everyones feedback about my posts! I have met some amazing people and companies through blogging that I couldn't even imagine my life like right now with out!

You can also probably tell that my blog got a major face-lift! I know that for the past couple of years I have been changing my blog here and there, but I am absolutely obsessed with this design! (Thanks to this Etsy shop!).
