Glimpse of Sophia V.8

Such a busy week! I had to miss a little bit of school this week due to me competing in my school district's science fair. To be completely honest, that was the main reason why not many posts haven't been going up since I have been writing and editing my paper's and poster boards. But fear not! I am back and I'm so excited to share with y'all a little bit more of what I have been up too these past couple of weeks!

Justin Bieber Concert

I was so happy to be able to go to the Justin Bieber Purpose Tour concert on Monday night! This definitely was a treat and being able to sing along to all of my favorite songs. I brought my good friend Nicole (Who is a die-hard Bieber fan) and we had loads of fun!

Work Work Work
(Not so much the Rihanna song)

Like I said before I was competing in the school's science fair and I had to do a lot of editing and such in order to prepare for it. On top of missing a day of school for it, I had loads of homework that needed to be complete. Thus I have really realized that I do my best work at coffee shops! I love the calming atmosphere and large spaces to complete your work.

Erin Condren's New Design's

If you know me, you probably already know that I am the biggest Erin Condren nerd there is. This past week she came out with these gorgeous notebooks! Are they not the cutest? I love the new binding options that the notebooks come in. They are perfect for jotting down ideas on the go and are still professional enough.

Latest Tunes

Like I said before, I usually go to coffee shops to completely my work and I love bringing along my headphones to listen too. I decided to share with y'all a little insight into what I really like, music wise. Check out my playlist here!

Productivity Tips

I cannot even begin to stress how much there past few weeks have been busy. I have an upcoming science fair this Thursday and I have been preparing for it for the past two weeks. With getting my papers approved and creating my big poster board, I have been nothing but a writing machine lately. With that being my main focus of the week, I definitely had to buckle down a few times and really force myself to do work. And with spring break and midterms right around the corner, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to share what helps me study the most.

Location, Location, Location

I recently watching this video (One of my favorite Youtuber's when it comes to talking about school and productivity) and Thomas Frank talked about how it's so important on where you focus and work in. I never really thought about it but I tired it out when it came to my research paper. With my room being so small, I typically work on my bed in that area. When writing my research paper I would get so drowsy and tired that I would want to go to sleep. The next day I went to my local coffee bean shop and ended up finishing my 19-page paper with in two hours! I definitely have learned my lesson on where I should work, and I will absolutely start working somewhere I don't associate with sleeping.

Having a Plan

The worst thing, in my opinion is being disorganized, and when it comes to studying, everyone should be able to have a plan. My personal favorite way of keeping a to-do list of what I study is the App called To-Doist. You can set reminders and times when you want to complete something by and this can really condense your time together well.

Keep you phone away

I do have to admit that about 90% of the time I study, I do end up getting distracted. Either it's a like on one of my recent I love this app that I got called Forest. What the app does is keep your phone on but doesn't allow you to leave the app to do anything or else you kill this little tree on the screen. And then if  you complete the amount of time without going on other apps, you get points! It's actually a very encouraging game for some reason for me and it helps so much when focusing on things.

What are your tips for productivity?
