West coast Fall Look Collab.

Top (Similar)  // Jeans // Boots (Similar) // Earrings // Braclet

I have teamed up today with Ruth (Brains & Burbs) to bring you today West and East Coast fall outfits! I think that both areas have totally different styles when it comes to fall. For us here in California, we have 90-degree weather today (Not joking what so ever). It doesn't get cold here until the end of October and maybe even early November. I personally love cold weather and embrace the autumn weather pretty early since we don't get that much time. This outfit is something that I wear to school since it's pretty easy and function to be in. I styled it with some of my favorite items from Rocksbox that totally changed the look!

Sky Blue Striped Top

Lately, J.Crew has been killing it when it comes to fall fashion (Not to mention their fashion show was AMAZING) . I was able to pick up this super comfy sweater and I can't stop wearing it! The fabric is incredibly soft and definitely good for the transitioning weather.

As for styling goes, I love how versatile it is. In this outfit (and most of the times I'm wearing it) I opt for dark wash jeans and fun shoes. But the other day I paired it with hot pink J. Crew chino shorts which really made it a staple piece! The light blue is pretty subtle so it creates a night effect when matching some jewelry with it.

And how can I not forget the accessories! I am in love with my Kendra Scott necklace from Rocksbox. the gold detailing adds the perfect finish and elegance touch that it can dress up anything! Along with my red Longchamp backpack, it always adds a pop of color to it.

Glimpse of Sophia V.18

September is officially in full swing! I am a huge fall and winter kind of gal and can't get enough of it. Over here in LA, it's still getting in the low 80's but living next to the ocean has it's perks with the breeze.

Along with being in my second week of school, I have already started to feel the pressure. With everything from Common App to what the latest deadline in my broadcast journalism class, I am constantly on my toes. But weirdly, I love it! I can't stand doing nothing (maybe one of the reasons why I don't like summer being so long) but enjoy having things to look forward too. But with that being said, I have been enjoying my multitudes of study breaks along with catching up with some friends!

An ice creme break after a long study session for Marine Biology.

One // Study Playlists - I am a huge fan when it comes to listening to music when working on assignments. It honestly helps me remember when studying and also block out any sort of white noise. I try to opt for playlists where there is music I haven't listened to before so I don't sing along and focus more.

Two // Dancing Pumpkin Head Man - I had too. My friends and I have been dying over this Twitter account with their remakes of this dancing pumpkin man. My personal favorite is the Wii music and the Bill Nye the Science Guy.

Three // Popsugar on Snapchat - About 90% of the time at school, you can probably find me on my phone either on my email or Snapchat. I love catching up with Snapchat stories from friends to celebs. But recently I have been loving the Popsugar snaps! They do a ton of different things in which they share out that are so fun! It can be anything like a quick yoga session to help relieve stress demonstration to cute DIYs!

Jewelry has always been on my weaknesses. Especially when it's adorable and my favorite brands. I remember scrolling through Instagram and seeing these adorable boxes tied with a pink box. Who can resist trying them out! The company is called Rocksbox and definitely does the name. All of their jewelry is amazing and is perfect for fall time!

Essentially these adorable boxes show up to your doorstep once a month where you get three jewelry pieces to use throughout the month. But the part that I love is that they aren't just random pieces. When you create your account you first take a style quiz where it helps the stylist pick pieces for you to try during the month!

I made it a goal of mine to try and wear each piece at least once during the month. Turns out that every piece I ended up loving! They definitely gave a different edge to my style and are perfect for everyday looks.

Glimpse of Sophia V.17

The first week of senior year is complete!

I loved getting to be able to reconnect with all of my friends this summer and catch up. All of us cannot believe that this time next year we will all be off to college, and are so ready to see what this year has in store.

Desk = 2nd home

Homework has definitely caught up to me already this week, but I surprisingly have been handling it well! Usually, by this time I would be already out of motivation but I'm so excited to start all of the back to school festivities! One of my favorite classes this semester would definitely have to be my Marine Biology Honors class. With my experience with working at aquariums, I think it would be fun to learn more in a class setting!

Cupcakes Galore

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I am a huge fan of one of my local cupcake shops. My aunt was sweet enough to drive me over and take me for the ride after the first day of school. We brought along my cousin's dog and enjoyed walking around the shoreline. Plus a pretty sunset isn't bad to start the ending of your first day of school!

Can't wait to share what I have planned for next week!
