Simply Saturday V.26

As every week goes by, Summer and high school coming to a close gets even more real than before. It used to be so crazy to think that I will be someday done with highschool and now it's starting to feel real! This week was filled with craziness with starting my job training at J.Crew, planning out graduation and prom attire, and getting some trips planned for the summer. I also finally put down my deposit for my school earlier this week and happy to say that I will be announcing my college on May 1st (I Declare Day!). Of course to top of this week, my best friend and I spent Thursday skipping school and heading to Disneyland!

I’m a huge animal lover and usually opt for cute animal pictures to destress. My source for these photos is usually through my friends reposting on Facebook and such. But lately, I have been loving @CuteEmergency’s Twitter. It’s the perfect dose of adorable videos and pictures that quickly brighten up your day!

          GAIA for J.Crew
Pops of color mixed in with stripes is something I’m always going for. When I discovered GAIA, I was instantly obsessed with the message they carry along with their products. They recently announced that they had put some of their products in particular J.Crew stores for sale. This past week when I was at work, I was surprised with finally getting to see one of their purses in person! They are darling and now can be found in different J.Crew stores!

The inner planner hoarder in me is still trying to control myself when seeing all of the Erin Condren sneak peeks! Even though I don’t use my Erin Condren anymore since it doesn't fit my lifestyle, I still am a big fan of the message and products they produce! Warby Parker Glasses

I’ve been wearing glasses since 3rd grade and have gone through dozens of pairs. When I was little, I would only pick the most colorful glasses and didn’t care what it looked like as long as it was pink. As I got older, I decided to pick more practical ones, and once high school came along, I started to care. I will admit that I have taken pretty bad care of my glasses over the years, but this year I was determined to keep them in perfect condition.

When getting my new pair, I decided not to get the boring ones from my optician, and instead, I went with Warby Parker. I was so amazed at their service and what they offered that I ended up getting these pairs. I have blown away with the quality that I had to review them and share them with y’all!

Excellent Service || I decided to purchase these online since I don’t have a store that is relatively close to me. They were incredible with helping me pick out the pair and fix anything that I was concerned about.

Home Try-On || I did this back in December and loved how convenient it was for them to try. I wanted to try something new, so I picked a wide variety of glasses that were fun and yet practical. I would suggest everyone doing this so that you get a better idea with your style and everyday life.

Wide Variety || Warby Parker has such a fantastic option selection that there is one for every person. I picked these because of their color yet how they go with my style and personality.

Higher Strength Options || This is a fun fact, but I am legally blind and have been for a while. I have one of the worst prescriptions possible and can be hard for me to find glasses that can fix that thick of a lense. Warby Parker accommodates it perfectly and offers a better resolution of the lense to fit my needs!

If you are ever in need of glasses, be sure to check out Warby Parker!

Simply Saturday V.26

This week has been full of ups and downs but definitely brought so many exciting things. By far one of my favorite times of this week was (drum roll please) ...

I’m a Stylist at J.Crew!!

I get more and more excited I think about it! I have been searching for a job for around three months now and started to get really anxious about not getting any of them. But I applied to J.Crew just for fun originally and ended up getting an interview and later on a position! This all happened within this week, so I haven’t officially started my position, but I’m excited about training and starting! (Not to mention the new styles are ADORABLE)

Along with finally getting a job (hallelujah), I decided on a college!! This has been one of the more stressful decisions of this month, but I’m so glad to be finally committed to a college. I will be announcing soon on the blog and my Instagram so make sure you're following me!

Refinery 29’s Money Diaries Series
I am a huge fan of Refinery 29 and their content. They always create such interesting series, and this is by far my favorite. Refinery 29 has been doing a series where they have someone (all anonymously) share what they spend a week living in a city. It’s pretty interesting and something I’m always curious to read! Click here to read the Money Diaries Series posts.

Glossier Phase One & Two
It’s no secret that I am a major fan of Glossier and both their makeup and skincare lines. My first purchase was the Phase One kit and was completely obsessed with all of the products  Their products are on the semi-expensive side and is something that they have been trying to reduce for a while. They announced this week that they reduced both of their kit prices! I highly suggest everyone trying Glossier once and now is a perfect time!

Passion Planner New Colors
Planners are such an amazing tool and something that everyone should invest in. I personally use Passion Planner and love the quality of them. Their two new colors are the cutest and I couldn't be more in love with them! I'm definitely eyeing the cobalt blue one for college.

Whats in Purse

It’s no secret that I am a lover of bags. I have a weird obsession with them and love to collect new styles. With changing my bags often, I have it pretty down pat of what my necessities I need to bring in them.

Wallet - I keep this on the smaller size and try not to get big wallets since I own smaller bags. I recently just bought this one, and it fits perfectly in all of my bags! Keeping my wallet to a smaller size really helps me keep only the important and necessary things.

Emergency Bag - This holds anything from girl products to a nail clipper. I try to keep it pretty updated because everything in this pouch I have used. I keep bandaids, Post-it note, spare pen, travel size Clorox wipes, and medicine. When creating your emergency pouch, it’s best to put more and know that

Lip Balm - My lips are constantly chapped. No matter what season, or what time of day, they will for sure be chapped. I usually go for a heavy duty lip balm, but lately, I have been loving the Glossier Balm Dot Com. It is super slim and fits everywhere plus has the best consistency.

Headphones - Necessity!!

Backup Charger -  My phone is constantly dying and I’m not really looking into paying another $100 for a charging phone case. I always have a spare charger with me and it comes pretty handily!

Glasses Case - Years past I have taken terrible care of my glasses. I barely cleaned them and really didn’t take the time to take care of them. This year I was determined to get new glasses and keep them in fantastic condition. I do this by always having a glasses case with me and clean them around every so often usually.

Ruffles On The Go

J. Crew has always been a big part of my closet ever since I have been getting into fashion. They offer so many cute pieces that you are able to style anyway. This top may look familiar from this post, but instead in White! The different color gives it a totally different vibe and creates such a cute look! I love pairing this with jeans for a casual look and instantly gives a cute look!

Simply Saturday V.25

Welcome to my new weekly series! I re-changed the name (for the billionth time) to finally Simply Saturday. I have been brainstorming for a couple of years now and finally picked the perfect name. I’ll be doing these every week and just recapping what's been going on in my life along with things I have been loving and my blog posts for the week. Let me know if there is anything you would like to see in any of the Simply Saturday’s to come.

This week was my last and final tech week of any of my school plays. My school is doing a production of Pippin and has been an amazing experience of its kind. This is my seventh and final show and it has been super surreal for me. We do a Secret Santa type gift exchange on every show date. Last night was opening night and definitely went off with a bang! My Secret Santa person knew I love flowers and got me this adorable flower set!

Color Files - Blush

I’m a big fan of implementing colors into my everyday life and love to choose items that brighten up anything. I have been wanting to start this series for a while but had some thoughts about picking the perfect items and name. I decided to go with Color File and share with you once a month a shade that I have loved recently along with things that go with it.

This month I decided to go with blush! It's the perfect neutral for spring and complements anyone! It creates a super feminine look in seconds and lightens up anything.

Tell me of any colors to feature next time!

New Years Resolutions - Update

This year keeps on going by faster and really is starting to feel real. If you asked me back in January, I still would think that I’m a junior in high school, but in reality, for today I’m graduating in less than two months!
I wanted to really keep accountable for this year's goals and as promised to do an update. Back when I announced what the six goals, I really wanted them to be things that are achievable and aren’t realistic. Most of these I have been able to keep or able to manage, but some I need to actually sit down and create a game plan to start implementing them in my life.

Smart with Money // So far I have been taking y'all suggestions and using the Mint app. Although not everything matches up with me since it's built for someone who has much more experience in purchasing bigger things, It's an excellent tool. It helps me really be accountable when it comes to going out and managing my purchases.

Grow on Social Media - This was actually a big step for me! I really wanted to up my social media and even hired a person to help manage it with me. Although I might not have been able to stick with it, it still allowed me to grow and get a better sense when connecting with my audience. But I hope there will growing more in the future.

Read More // I will admit, this is one that I haven’t done at all. I have been following along with the Paper & Glam 2017 Book Club, but it soon started to creep up on me with my school work. I don’t see myself having a ton of time to relax and have some reading time, but I will be doing a big catch up on the list in June!

Try a new class // One of my greatest idea! Each month I wanted to try something new with classes and has been something that I love exploring. In January I took a Calligraphy class online through Brit + Co that helped so much with improving my skills. Then in February I took my very first Bar Method class and LOVED it (Blog post to come soon about it)!

Grow my style // Seasons changing really helped me improve my wardrobe and was able to get me a little cash to put more towards it. I am a big fan of Poshmark and really love how easy it is to send things and get money for unwanted clothes. This also actually allows me to put that money towards new trends that I want to start wearing and promote on the blog!

Live life // Shockingly this is one that I have been really doing a lot. Senioritis has gradually been seeping into my head. Just the other day instead of doing homework, I headed to the beach with my best friends for a sunset watch on the beach. We had the best evening, and while sitting there with them, I knew I wanted to do more of this before we left for college.

Pops of Pink

It’s no secret that pink is one of my favorite colors. I found this perfect chiffon top from J.Crew, and I can’t get enough of it! It brings the perfect amount of pink for spring and summer and can be styled anyway. Lately, I have been opting for jeans and sandals look since it isn't quite warm yet.

Why I Love My iPhone 7 Plus

When it comes to blogging, my phone is a big key to getting things done. I use it everything from editing posts on the go to creating my social media lineup for the week's posts. I use almost everything relating to my blog is online, so having the accessibility to things on the go is crucial. I usually update my phone every two years and opt for the smaller option, but this year I went for the iPhone 7 Plus. Being hesitant to such a significant change I am now really grateful to have this for the everyday use. I get a lot of questions about it, so I put together five points on why I love this device.

Camera // I’m always looking for a good Instagram photo to snap, so a camera that's reliable is always a must for me. The camera on this phone is stellar!! Every single picture comes out sharp and in focus no matter what. Not to mention the Portrait mode is something that is fun to plan around with.

Fast // My old iPhone 6 was really starting to lag even after a year of use. I was really looking for a fresh new upgrade. The iPhone 7 Plus is very fast and super dependable. It hasn't once crashed and knock on wood it won't!

Storage options // I keep everything for blog and school all on Google Drive so much of my storage goes to photos and music. I used to constantly have to buy more storage and started to get really annoyed with the smaller and affordable options. I honestly forgot once I got my 7 Plus that it came with more storage, but now it's another thing I don't have to worry about!

Design // In years past, I always went for the dull silver iPhones and never experimented with anything. Originally I wanted to get the gold iPhone but kinda glad that they were out of stock at the time. I ended up getting the pink iPhone and actually enjoy it! At the beginning I thought it was too much, but it definitely looks good on certain phone cases.

Horizontal view // By far one of my favorite features! I usually type messages on the go from my phone and would get incredibly tired typing the same way I would send a text. I started actually using the horizontal starting with emails, and it's a game changer! I also love how I can use it on the home screen and different apps.

Chambray for Spring

If you follow me on Twitter, you know that I have been loving J.Crew’s spring collection. When browsing for summer clothes, I immediately fell in love with this button up top. I’m all for basic clothing that I can spice up with accessories.

Spring & Summer Essentials

Shopping for this new season has been something I am getting excited for lately. With all of the new trends and styles coming out, it's hard sometimes to narrow down what you specifically like. With warmer weather, I usually like to stick to my essentials when shopping since I know they will get good use out of them. So today I wanted to share my five essentials for spring and summer along with my picks from my favorite stores!

|| Photo via ||

Espadrilles - Who doesn't love a good pair of espadrilles? I always go to my favorite white and black espadrilles because I know that they will instantly brighten up any outfit. Even with an everyday look, they can bring so much color and personality. Recently I have been adoring wedged versions of espadrilles and would be perfect for a party of some sort.

My picks: J.Crew, ASOS, and Gap

Cover Up’s - When it comes to going to the beach, my friends and I always opt for going to grab a bite to eat after. Although most of the restaurants are by the ocean, many don’t allow people to walk in with swimsuits. I always bring a cover up for backup and usually love for them to be flowy and easy to upon in a snap.

My picks:  Francesca's, Club Monaco, and J.Crew

Sun hat - I have always had a love and hate relationship when it comes to hats, but lately, I have loved them. I usually will go for a baseball hat since I’m working out when needing one, but I have been loving wicker or straw hats. They instantly add a relaxed vibe to the outfit that can be perfect for any outfit.

My picks: Gap, J.Crew, and Anthropologie

Go-to Dress - Whether you're heading to a barbecue or to grab ice cream with the girls, it’s important to have a dress you know that you can wear practically anywhere. With me being the stripe lover I am, I usually gravitate toward any stripe dress I can find. But lately and embroidering detail has been catching my eye a lot!

Sunscreen - Skincare is a must when the weather is warm! No matter what type of skin you have, it is crucial when being out in the sun to protect your natural skin. I love to apply any tinted moisturizer to help keep a base and still give my skin some SPF love!

My picks: IT Cosmetics, Tarte, and Boscia
