2018 Resolutions

I did an Instagram poll a couple of days ago asking if y'all would still be interested in seeing my 2018 Resolutions. I got an overwhelming response from y'all and I'm so excited to share them today! It took me all of December of last year to really nail down what I wanted to achieve in 2018. Like I said in a couple of my other posts from this week that 2017 was a really big year. With that being said, I reflected on what I liked and disliked of last year and wrote out these resolutions. I'm thinking that if y'all like this post, I possibly will do updates each month or every other month! Let me know if you would be interested in this!

| Meditation |

Last summer, I started hearing more and more about Headspace and meditation from so many different people. I ended up trying headspace for a free trial and loved it for the week I consecutively did it, and purchased a year subscription! I don't do it as often as I would like because I feel like I either make excuses or can never find a space where it's quiet and don't get distracted. I really want to start getting back into it and start focusing on getting in my daily 5 or 10 minutes. 

| Declutter |

I've always considered myself a pretty neat person and usually keep things to a minimal. When packing for college, I was actually pleasantly surprised with all of the stuff I had. I definitely realized that I have way too many clothes that I don't wear, but very little things that I use on a daily basis. I think when I go home for the summer, I really want to focus on going through everything and focusing on the stuff that I don't use and donating. 

| Work out consistency |

This is something that I have been tackling right now and I definitely have been seeing the benefit. My favorite workouts are Barre and Cycling, classes. Here in Charleston, I have a Pure Barre membership and have been really enjoying it. But when singing back up for it after winter break, I told myself that I need to at least go 4-5 times a week to make the cost worthwhile. For some reason after I told myself that, I did a challenge for myself where I should go seven days straight. I did that three weeks ago, and now I'm currently on a 28-day streak. I know it sounds crazy, but I honestly feel AMAZING. I feel so much stronger and energized that I really can't stop. The classes are only 50 minutes so I always force myself that there is always a class I can take every day. I'm really curious how long I can go with my seven-day streaks, but my end goal for the summer with Pure Barre is to complete 100 classes before I go back home.

| Build Wardrobe Staples |

This is something that I have been trying to work on more and more each year, but always get sidetracked. But this year it's going to happen. I feel like before working at J.Crew, I didn't own any staples. But after being with the company for almost a year now (Still can't believe it's been so long), I have definitely grown my style. I really want to focus on dresses and shirt basics for before summer.  Once I get all of my items, I'll for sure be sharing it with y'all on the blog!

| Master Makeup & Hair |

Y'all, I honestly suck at both of these. I have always dreamed to be good and either one or both, but it never has gotten there. But this year I am determined to get a good flowing routine started. For makeup, I really want to take a MakeUp basics class at a store called Belle & Blush. This is right up my ally and definitely something I can continue practicing. As for hair, I really need to get good at blowdrying my hair well. This will just take time to get into a groove!
